About Quiet Zone

A small tool, built on purpose

Most QR scanner apps ask for more than they need. An account before you've scanned a single code. Background location. A subscription to remove ads from a feature your phone's camera app can already do half of. Quiet Zone started from wanting the other version of that: a scanner and generator that just works, with nothing extra attached to it.

How it's different

Every scan and every generated code is processed directly in your browser. Camera frames and uploaded images are read into memory, decoded on your device, and never sent anywhere. There's no server round-trip, no account to create, and nothing saved after you close the tab. The Privacy Policy spells this out in full.

Who it's for

Quiet Zone is for anyone who needs to read or make a QR code without friction — checking where a sticker or flyer code actually leads before tapping it, generating a code for a menu, a business card, or a poster, or just avoiding an app install for something that only needs to happen once.

What "Quiet Zone" means

It's a real term from QR code design: the blank margin every code needs around its edges so a scanner can find it. No content, just enough space to make the rest legible. That's the idea behind the tool too — do one thing clearly, without adding noise around it.
