Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Quiet Zone is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains exactly what happens when you use it.

1. Camera access

When you tap "Use camera," your browser asks your permission to access it directly — Quiet Zone never sees this happen. Video frames are read into a canvas and decoded on your own device using a local script. No frame, image, or video is ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere. Closing the tab or navigating away discards everything instantly.

2. Uploaded images

Images you upload to scan are processed the same way: read directly into your browser's memory and decoded locally. They are never sent to a server.

3. Codes you generate

Text or links you type into the Generate tab are turned into a QR code entirely in your browser. That text is never transmitted anywhere. It exists only on your screen and in the PNG file you choose to download.

4. Cookies and analytics

Quiet Zone does not currently use cookies, analytics, or any tracking scripts. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what's added and why.

5. Accounts and data storage

There is no account system. We don't store scan history, generated codes, or any identifying information, because none of it is ever sent to us in the first place.

6. Children's privacy

Quiet Zone is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect information from anyone, of any age, since no personal information is collected at all.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes — like adding analytics or data collection — will be described plainly here.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@quietzone.app.
